ABOUT

The event

This prestigious celebration remains the largest event in the Southeastern United States dedicated to the tasting of the new harvest of the Beaujolais Nouveau. It is the perfect opportunity to toast to the strength of the transatlantic connection between France and the US.

For this 32nd edition, we're inviting the international community to share this tradition with a tasting of this year's vintage, a silent auction, and live French experiences.

The Wine

Produced in the Beaujolais region of France, Beaujolais nouveau is a red wine made from Gamay grapes, fermented for just a few weeks before being released for sales.

Before World War II the wine was only for local consumption but was also used to celebrate the end of the harvest. In 1937 was established a rule saying that Beaujolais wine could only be officially sold after 15 December.  These rules were relaxed in 1951, and the release date was set the 15 November (the third Thursday of November).

Our Cause

Our mission as a non-profit is to improve the commercial and personal relationships between leaders in businesses and communities in France and the Southeast of the US. We encourage sales of goods and services between both countries and promote a better international understanding.

Throughout the year, seminars, networking opportunities, professional exchanges and commercial services are organized by the FACC-Atlanta to progress in our intentions to reach our goal.
